In september 2023, students from the System Design Master’s course attended for the second time the international Workshop for students organized by the European Systemic Design Lab. The ESDL is an ongoing cooperation between the Oslo Metropolitan University, the École de Design Nantes Atlantique and HTW Berlin.

This year, the hosting university was the HTW Berlin. For five days, design students from Oslo and France met at the campus in Berlin, Germany and applied System Design Methods to topics surrounding the future, potentials and difficulties of our food system in an urban environment.

We were very pleased to welcome the students and our colleagues in Berlin.
The students received a warm welcome, as well as a culinary tour of the city, a live cooking event and several opportunities to get to know us and Berlin nightlife while eating and drinking throughout the city. We were extremely happy with the results and looking forward to the next workshop of the series, which is to take place in Oslo!
