In september 2022, students from the System Design Master’s course attended the first international Workshop for students organized by the European Systemic Design Lab. The ESDL is an ongoing cooperation between the Oslo Metropolitan University, the École de Design Nantes Atlantique and HTW Berlin.

This year, the hosting university was the École de Design Nantes Atlantique. For five days, design students from Oslo and Berlin met at the new campus in Nantes, France and applied System Design Methods to topics surrounding the future and potentials of mobility. A Stellantis N.V., a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation, funded by Erasmus+ Programme. In addition, representatives from Stellantis were present along the week to give the students feedback on their work.

The students received a warm welcome by the colleagues in Nantes, as well as a tour of the city and several guest presentations.

We were extremely happy with the results and left Nantes looking forward to the next workshop of the series, which is to take place in Berlin!
